I didn’t think I would make it, but I completed both my word count and my story!
I’m very pleased.
I just wasn’t in much of a writing mood and when I though about the plot of my story, I didn’t think that it would really be possible to reach my 30,000 word count goal.
It was disappointing.
On Tuesday I had to study for my finals and I also told myself that I had to finish my NaNoWriMo story, as I knew that I would not want to be writing on Wednesday. I wrote about 9,000 words that day and finished the novella. Once I had finished with the story line, I still needed 3,000 words to make my goal.
I wrote about 1,800 words yesterday and the rest I wrote today. I added a good amount of description to reach my goal.
I underestimated how tedious it would be to add in description for 3,000 words. But I did it. And now I can say that, at 30,007 words, I have won my first ever NaNoWriMo. Of course, I’ll have to be able to write 50,000 words in November for the original WriMo.
I got very sick of writing around the point where I hit 28,000 words, but I pushed through and now I can feel accomplished with what is currently a Novella, and the first thing that I have written of that length.
My stories never tend to make such a high word count.
It was fun. I look forward to the next.
Now I can celebrate!
Congratulations! Love the .gif, too.
