Well, I can’t change my word count goal.
I have it at 30,000, but now I am thinking that my story simply doesn’t need that many words; I’m not sure that I have enough plot points to finish it. 20,000 is probably enough words.
How Camp NaNoWriMo works is that, instead of having a set goal of 50,000 words for a novel, you are allowed to choose your own word count goal as well as your project type. You are also allowed to change your word count goal until the last 10 days of camp.
I didn’t change my word count goal from 30,000, unfortunately.
So I’m telling myself that if I can finish this story, whether or not it makes 30,000 words, I completed my objective.
